PETROL ENGINES WITH BMW TWIN POWER TURBO.

Driving pleasure and efficiency enter a new dimension. The proof comes from innovative BMW petrol engines with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. This innovative package ensures a significant reduction in fuel consumption with higher engine output.
The technology consists of three components: fully variable Valvetronic valve control and High Precision Injection lower consumption, while the TwinScroll turbocharger increases power and response.
The award-winning technology concept – used in the straight six-cylinder – is regarded worldwide as the benchmark for dynamic power build-up and impressive efficiency. Now it is being used for the first time in the 2.0-litre petrol engine of the BMW X1 xDrive28i, thus setting a further milestone in the BMW EfficientDynamics strategy.
